Canadian Traveller Referral Program
Want to work elsewhere in Canada?
The UBC has launched an online form for all Canadian members, including Millwrights, who want to seek work in other parts of Canada. The system facilitates the quick movement of Canadian members throughout Canada in times of high regional labour demands.
Canadian UBC members have priority for jobs in Canada and it is critical that we know of your interest and availability so we can dispatch you when there are opportunities in other parts of Canada.
How to access the program
To access the UBC Canadian Traveller Referral Program Form:
- Go to www.carpenters.org and click on the yellow hard hat near the bottom of the page.
- Then click the Members button and log in as a member.
- When you have logged in as a Member, click the Canadian Traveller Referral Program link. You will arrive at a form that has mostly been pre-completed for you with information from the UBC Members database.
Please double-check the information on the form. Confirm that the address and other contact information is up to date. Correct it if it is incorrect. Make sure training details are complete, and if they are not, add recent training. Update any information you see that is incorrect, absent, or lacking in detail. Make sure the information you submit is true. If it isn’t, you will not be eligible for the program.
You are ONLY eligible if:
- You are out of work
- You are on the out of work list (Should you obtain work after you submit your completed form – you will not be avail dispatched through this system)
- Your dues are paid up to date.
- You are in good standing and considered available for work in other regions
Final steps
Print out your completed, accurate form and save a copy.
Then submit the online form. It will go to ARC’s Regional Coordinator, who will verify details of your application. When you are accepted, you’ll receive an email telling you that you are registered in the program.
If you have questions email us, please.
Renew every 90 days!
Finally, remember that you must re-open and renew your registration every 90 days to affirm your interest, availability and preferences for travel. Should you fail to renew every 90 days, you will not be dispatched through this system
