usacycling:we’ll give you a $10 discount on future purchases, up to a total of $100 that you can use toward next year’s membership or any race on USA Cycling’s online registration system.*

FOR MANY OF US, IT WAS A FRIEND THAT INTRODUCED US TO RACING, AND WE’VE BEEN PAYING IT FORWARD EVER SINCE BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN THE SPORT AND WANT TO SEE IT GROW.

Now we’re launching a program to reward you for converting those around you into racers, as well. If you are a current member, for every person you refer who joins USA Cycling as a new adult racing member (not renewals), we’ll give you a $10 discount on future purchases, up to a total of $100 that you can use toward next year’s membership or any race on USA Cycling’s online registration system.*

There are two ways to do this:
  1. Send your friend an email yourself (or ideally, spring the idea on them while you're out on a ride together), and ask them to enter your member/license number in the referral box during checkout. If you're a current member, you should have received a sample email that includes your membership number so you can copy/paste or forward it on to friends you think are ready to start racing.

  2. Click here to visit a page where you can enter your friends’ email addresses and we’ll send them a message letting them know that you think they should give racing a try, with a unique link to get you credit for their membership. (If they don't have an account yet, though, they'll still need to enter your member/license number during checkout, so make sure they have that handy.)
That's it!

You know these people- they’d make great racers but they’ve never pinned the number on. It’s the guy in a t-shirt that hammers on the group ride or local trails, or the next-door neighbor that did her first triathlon and just killed it on the bike. Help them start racing just like someone helped you.

And in the end, if your friends are not quite ready to try racing, that’s ok.  This is about more than memberships: it’s about growing cycling in America and sharing our passion with those around us. So get out there, go on a ride with someone new, and spread the love of cycling.
