About Us

El Karim restaurant, Lebanese cuisine, opened back in 1979, being the first to introduce Lebanese food to the North Shore suburbs.
Throughout all those years the restaurant has maintained a strong and loyal customer base enjoying a reputation for its authentic and fresh food.
It has seen two major changes, the first in 2005 where it achieved a new look.
In October 2008, a new owner and chef, Fadi Constantine arrived from London where he had his own Lebanese restaurant with his brother (L’Oriental Lebanese Restaurant, Acton, London). He has revitalised the menu and introduced new items with great emphasis on fresh, honest and generous food; ‘El Karim’ means The Generous in Lebanese.
New wines were brought in to compliment the new dishes. There are also imported Lebanese wines and Arak, the Lebanese national spirit. It is made from grapes and aniseed and is clear in colour then turns white when you add water to it.
The restaurant now enjoys a great reputation and is buzzing again.
The food is prepared daily on the premises using only fresh ingredients, the service is friendly and attentive and both combine to make an enjoyable dining experience.
El Karim seats up to 60 people with some outside tables. The decor is fresh with modern colours on the walls and carpeted floor. The tables are covered with crisp white linen and napkins.
Bookings are advisable.
See you soon.
