If someone pledges to our campaign, we credit you like this:
$150 REFUND FOR THE FIRST 3 SUCCESSFUL REFERRALS

$50 REFERRAL REFUNDS AFTER THAT
UNTIL YOUR JIBO IS FREE
If 4 of your friends claim JIBOs, then you will be credited $200. If 5 friends claim, then you will get $250. If 10 of your friends get their JIBO through your link, your JIBO Home Edition is absolutely free!
Upon the completion of our crowdfunding campaign, we will refund you based on the number of referrals that lead to successful contributions.
SPECIAL NOTE: To our funders who claimed perks that involve a payment at ship, we will credit your referral funds toward the second payment, so you don’t have to pay more when we ship your JIBO to you!

HOW IT WORKS
Simply log in to Indiegogo if you have not already, or create an account by signing up here. Be sure to use the same account you used when you claimed your JIBO! Then, visit the JIBO Indiegogo Page and look below the main video to share and copy your URL.
Copy your unique URL link to post around the internet and save if for later by clicking the link icon circled below or begin sharing on social media by simply clicking the Facebook or Twitter buttons below with your URL pre-loaded.
When you click on any Share Tool on the JIBO Indiegogo page, then you’ll get a post or Tweet that’s ready-to-go with your personal URL.

HOW TO TRACK YOUR RESULTS
1.  Sign into Indiegogo.
2.  Click on your user name beside the Search Box at the top right of the page.
3.  Select “My Profile” option.
4.  Click on the tab that says “Referrals” for the latest totals of Referrals and Contributions that resulted from your sharing.
5.  Count the number of funders!

Get creative! No one but you know this is your personal link.


HOW WE WILL CREDIT YOU
At the end of our campaign, we will have a list of all of those who have referred people to pledge for a JIBO. Those who have successfully referred 3 or more people to pledge will be credited a refund!

    I am a little confused about what you refer to as MY unique URL.
    Don’t you just want us to refer people to your website/ordering page
    or whatever ?
    Who makes up the URL ?
    Could you please elucidate

    • Hi, When you go to the campaign page at IndieGogo there are a number of social media buttons such as Email, Embed. When you click on one of these social media buttons the IndieGoGo site will generate a unique URL that allows us to track referrals made by you. These buttons are underneath the video with Cynthia and Jibo.

  3. Can you guys please come to hackMIT to show off JIBO? I’m not sure I want to buy the dev kit yet, and since I can’t find much evidence on developer options I’m still skeptical about purchasing it. For contextual purposes, I’m an undergrad with student loans.

    • I certainly understand the budgeting challenges of an undergraduate. Jibo is a young company. We are still early in our fundraising process. We still have some work to do to figure out where we are going to spend marketing dollars.
